Steel Easel Number One
Project Description
Steel Easel Number One was the first in a short series of display easels. It was comisioned by a favorite patron to hang their ever growing collection of paintings. This collector also holds many fine examples of sculpture and art furniture, it was a challenging environment. The concept for Steel Easel is "Art on Art"; a steel sculpture strong enough to stand on its own in a collection of powerful pieces, but no so strong that it would overpower two dimensional works displayed on it.
